Raphael Has Nothing on You

As you may know, last week I made a processing app that analyzed an image for circles and then computed the ’roundness’ of every circle if found. It worked most of the time, and was accurate, but it did have some bugs and was static (you had to change out the image it analyzed). For this week I wanted to fix those pesky bugs and make it work with video; and that is what I did. Now, you can draw on a piece of paper, (or in the future on a wall), hold it in front of the camera, press the analyze button… and BANG, you have analyzed circles. Not really a huge departure from last week, but we ARE moving toward what will probably be my final project for Computational Cameras: the Raphaelite Drawing Machine… or the You and Me Drawing Machine… or a better name I did not just come up with.
